Tanzania (Part One) — The People
I’ve decided to forgo my typical narrative this time and just allow the pictures to speak for themselves.
Although I would like to say that although the majority of the people I met own little more than the clothes on their backs—they are ironically among the happiest people I’ve ever seen. Their bright smiles seem to match their optimism and belief in the goodness of life and of their God. It was a powerful reminder of what truly is important, and I hope I’ll not forget that lesson in the coming months.
DISCLAIMER: The following series of posts is not meant to be a comprehensive review of the 16 days I spent in Tanzania during April/May. But, if you’re interested in the stories behind the pictures, just ask! I’d love to share them with you.
If a particular photo catches your eye and you’d like to request a print, please send me an email or check out my online shop. A portion of the profits will go to Marafiki Africa to support their future outreach efforts.
Enjoy!
