Y Mountain
I’ve spent some years in the old “Happy Valley.”
These were good times and whenever I venture back down into the confines of P-Town, it brings back good memories of adventures with friends and boat-loads of homework (of which I’m all-sorts of glad to have left behind). The homework. Not the friends.
↓ My friend Kagen and I drove through Provo Canyon and took a quick pit-stop at Bridal Veil Falls, since, well, that’s the only interesting thing in that canyon.
Then we went up to Y-Mountain and after shooting some potentially job-landing LinkedIn portraits of my friend Reed, the sun started to set and I figured I’d try out the “vertical slices” panorama technique (“like bits of bread”) to gain more croppage material of the valley sunset in post.
It turned out after some tweaking of the highlights that brought out the city lights quite nicely. It’s no New York, but for what it is, Provo’s not that bad looking. Just don’t breath the air when there’s an inversion.
